Matt “Chopper” Carroll #23

He was in the line up again this past Friday as the Toronto Rock beat Minnesota. He picked up two loose balls for a season total of 7 and he popped his penalty cherry with a nice roughing call off a face-off. After Carroll got out of the box he got a break away but missed the net…but we still love chopper. Carroll will be in the hall of fame in no time so stay tuned for the last couple of game in the NLL season and cheer him on.

He finally did it he played his first NLL game on March 17, 2007 and he was awesome. He had one assist and five loose balls. Unfortunately, the team lost to Colorado in overtime 11-10. It was everything Chopper fans wanted he had tons of floor time and was dominate in the third quarter. We will always remember this day and that is why he will still be player of the week for the rest of March.

For the whole month of March Carroll will be the athlete of the week. The reason behind this is because Carroll now knows he will be cracking that Rock lineup the one thing we have been waiting for all season this game. If you have the time go down March the 17th at 7:30pm on St. Pattys day it will be an experience you will never forget and cheer Carroll on.
